Black tea with apple juice & sugar

.Recipe:

1 bag of black tea.

190ml hot boiling water.

40ml juice.

0.5 teaspoon of sugar.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Tenderly sweet, apple juice with soft bitter favour. It is absolutely amazing taste.

Smell: Beautiful apple juice aroma

Colour: Bright amber, cloudy, beautiful

Additional info: In my opinion, it is the best ingredient quantity match. There is no need to add more or less because the flavour is so beautifully balanced, it seems it has reached its perfection.

Assam tea has been used as an example of black tea. You can use any black tea for your brew.

As longer black tea bag will be infused in the water as stronger bitter flavour gets.

Black tea with Balsamic vinegar and sugar

TEA HOUSE AWARD: Number 1 choice of 2023

Recipe:

1 black Tea bag

225ml boiling water.

0.5 tea spoon of sugar

5ml Balsamic vinegar.

Brewer's advice: Be careful when you exceed the dosage of Balsamic vinegar as the taste of the brew can become unpleasant.

Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Strong sour and sweet. Very refreshing.

Additional info: I would not recommend drinking more than one cup at a time as it can become unenjoyable.

Assam tea has been used as an example of black tea. You can use any black tea for your brew.

As longer black tea bag will be infused in the water as stronger bitter flavour gets.

Black tea with Balsamic vinegar & Vimto

Recipe:

1 bag of black tea.

220ml hot water.

5ml Vimto.

5ml balsamic vinegar.
Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.
Taste:  It is bitter with Vimto flavour along with balsamic vinegar's sourness in aftertaste. Here black tea bitterness, Vimto and balsamic vinegar flavours are greatly balanced.
Smell:  Vivid  Vimto aroma
Colour: Dark amber.
Additional notes: It has a nicely balanced flavour and nothing is too much or too little. It was a highly anticipated recipe and it paid off.

You do not have to choose exactly this fruit squash as long as it has grapes, raspberries, blackcurrants and Vitamins C and D, it will be fine

Black Tea With Freshly Squeezed Cloudy Lemonade (still, Lemon)

Recipe:

1 bag Early Grey tea

200ml hot water

30ml With Freshly Squeezed Cloudy Lemonade

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Citrus, slightly bitter and sweet with a gentle bitter aftertaste.

Smell: Light bitterness and citrus

Colour: Bright amber, cloudy, orange, golden.

Additional notes: This seems a perfect match of ingredients and their dosages. I would not change anything here.

Black tea with orange juice & orange bits

Recipe:

1 bag of black tea.

200ml boiling water.

30ml orange juice.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: It has so amazing orange flavour. It is almost impossible to feel bitterness, which seems unusual for black tea.

Smell: It has a strong, very enjoyable orange aroma.

Colour: Cloudy orange, very different.

Additional info:  Assam tea has been used as an example of black tea. You can use any black tea for your brew.

As longer black tea bag will be infused in the water as stronger bitter flavour gets.

Black Tea with pickled gherkin marinade & sugar

Nominee of no 1 choice of 2024

Recipe:

1 bag of black tea.

190ml hot water.

40ml pickled gherkin marinade.

2g sugar.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gently sweet and sour with a strong, but pleasant sour aftertaste. The mouth goes dry after drinking this brew.

Smell: sour like marinade.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: I found it as a wonderful recipe. I could feel marinade and gentle sweetness mingling.

I think vingar played here a strong role in removing bitterness.

Judging by my experience, I would not recommend you drink more than 1 cup at a time as it might cause an unpleasant feeling in your heart.

Camomile tea with apple juice

Recipe:

1 bag of camomile tea

215ml hot water

15ml apple juice

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes and add apple juice.

Taste: It is a lovely mixture of tender apple juice and camomile tea flavours.

Colour: Bright Amber, cloudy.

Smell: Adorable tender apple juice with hints of camomile.

Additional notes: At the beginning, I tried this brew with 25ml of apple juice vs 205ml camomile tea. It was a wonderful flavour, but I was not happy that apple flavour heavily overlapped with camomile, so I kept on reducing till the current proportions of apple juice and camomile tea. As this seemed to me a perfect match I did not carry on reducing apple juice proportion and I would recommend you too to stay with my recommended recipe for this brew.

Stir every time before you drink.

Camomile tea with freshly squeezed cloudy lemonade

Recipe:

1 bag of camomile tea

215ml hot water

10ml freshly squeezed cloudy lemonade

5ml vanilla extract

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes add freshly squeezed cloudy lemonade and vanilla extract.

Taste: Sweet with hints of lemon and camomile in aftertaste.

Smell: Lovely citrus and vanilla.

Colour: Bright amber, cloudy.

Additional notes: I prepared the brew using my experience of the quantity of lemonade and vanilla extract I used before.

In this combination the brew tastes wonderful and there is no need to change anything.

Camomile tea with vanilla extract

Nominee of no 1 choice of 2024

Recipe:

1 bag of camomile tea

225ml hot water

5ml vanilla extract

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes and add vanilla extract.

Taste: Tender vanilla and chamomile tea flavours.

Colour: Dark amber.

Smell: Lovely vanilla.
Additional notes: Its flavours are greatly balanced making a light and enjoyable brew. Vanilla can be a great alternative to replace sugar and get a wonderful vanilla-sweet aroma. I fell in love with this brew from the first sip and I am pretty sure that this brew can be a great companion for bedtime book reading as well as it can be a great sleep promoter.

Just to let you know, people who are suffering from diabetes should be careful with vanilla extract as it might contain sugar.

Green tea with cola

Recipe:

2 bags of Knightsbridge green tea

190ml hot water

40ml cola

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: A sweet cola flavour mingles with green tea bitterness. Specific green tea flavours] last a long time lingering in aftertaste leaving the mouth dry.

Smell: Cola and black tea.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: This lovely tea flavour surprised me.

You can use any cola you like.

If you want to get taste sweeter add more cola and reduce the water. Also, I would not add more green tea bags to make taste unpleasant.

This recipe for me seems a perfect much of quantity of the ingredients and I would not change anything.

12/12/23

Green Tea With Freshly Squeezed Limeade (still)

Recipe:

2 tea bags of green tea

200ml hot water

30ml lime lemonade.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: It has vivid bitterness making my mouth go pinched along with light sourness. It has a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.

Smell 5/5: it has a pleasantly sweet and sour aroma.

Colour: Greenish yellow

Additional info; I would not brew it for longer than 5 minutes to avoid a strong bitterness flavour.

28/01/24

Peppermint tea with balsamic vinegar

Recipe:

1 bags of peppermint tea.

228ml hot water.

2ml balsamic vinegar

Brewer's advice: Let the tea bag brew for 3 - 5 minutes and add balsamic vinegar.

Taste: Vinegar and sugar flavours are dominant leading to enjoyable long-lasting freshness in the mouth.

Smell: Peppermint, fresh with tender balsamic vinegar and sugar.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: I started with 3ml of balsamic vinegar which made the brew too sour and I could not find peppermint flavour.

I reduced balsamic vinegar to 2ml and it was not still my perfect taste as I expected peppermint flavour to come forward.

Finally, I reduced it to 1ml and this combination was not good at all. I could taste peppermint, but balsamic vinegar and sugar flavours were almost gone.

This made me conclude that 2mg balsamic vinegar and 228ml hot water along with a peppermint tea bag was the perfect match if I wanted to enjoy the brew.

Also, you do not have to use white sugar. Use brown sugar if that is your favourite choice. I used white sugar because it is the cheapest option.

Peppermint tea with apple juice and sugar

Recipe:

1 tea bag of peppermint tea

210ml hot water

20ml apple juice

2g sugar

Brewer's advice: Before you add apple juice let the peppermint tea bag brew in hot water for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gentle apple flavour leaving enjoyable freshness in the mouth in the aftertaste.

Smell: Gentle apple with hints of peppermint.

Colour: Bright amber, cloudy.

Additional notes: Apple flavour seemed not too much and it made me conclude that sugar presence in the brew can make a real difference in the taste quality as I tried the same brew without sugar.

I tried another version by adding 25ml apple juice vs 205ml peppermint tea, which was still nice. Though here the aroma of apple juice was much dominant neutralising peppermint smell.

15/04/24

Peppermint tea with apple juice and vanilla extract

Recipe:

1 tea bag of peppermint tea

205ml hot water

20ml apple juice

5ml vanilla extract

Brewer's advice: Before you add apple juice and vanilla extract let the peppermint tea bag brew in hot water for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gentle apple and vanilla lead to tender and enjoyable freshness in the aftertaste.

Smell: Tender vanilla and apple.

Colour: Dark amber, cloudy.

Additional notes: The brew had one of the best aromas I have smelled and a wonderful taste. It would be a great choice after a hard working day for a break as it had a calming and relaxing taste.

Also, I would not change anything in this recipe.

18/04/24

Peppermint tea with cola

Recipe:

1 tea bags of peppermint tea

220ml hot water

10ml lime lemonade.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea bag brew for 3 - 5 minutes and add cola

Taste: The gentle sweetness of cola dominates the brew leading to long-lasting peppermint freshness in the mouth.

Smell: Fresh, strong peppermint.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: It was a nice and relaxing brew.

I tried at the beginning with 30ml of cola and reduced its proportion to 10ml to get the desired effect. In fact, you can go for 15ml of cola/215ml hot water. That was a good combination too. However, I saw it not as good as the current recipe.

Recipe:

1 tea bag of peppermint tea

210ml hot water

20ml cranberry juice

Taste: Mild cranberry with fresh, peppermint flavours and long-lasting freshness in the aftertaste.

Smell: Strong peppermint with a very mild cranberry aroma.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: It was an amazing brew of peppermint tea and cranberry juice. The flavours seemed greatly balanced.

Stir before you drink it for a better taste quality.

30/03/24

Red bush tea with apple juice

Nominee of no 1 choice of 2024

Recipe:

1 bag of red bush tea.

200ml hot water.

30mg apple juice.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gentle red bush with apple flavour.

Smell: Tender apple.

Colour: Orange, dark amber, cloudy.

Additional notes: This is a perfect brew. The ingredients and their dosage perfectly matched to create a wonderful tea. I so much enjoyed it.

It is a perfect brew to take a break from a stressful day.

Red bush tea with apple juice & sugar

Nominee of no 1 choice of 2024

Recipe:

1 bag of red bush tea.

200ml hot water.

30mg apple juice.

1 g of sugar

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Tender apple, red bush and sugar flavours with a gentle apple aftertaste.

Smell: Gentle apple.

Colour: Orange, auburn, cloudy.

Additional notes: It was so amazing tea brew that I would like to repeat it. Flavours seemed wonderfully balanced not overlapping each other.

Stir before you drink to sharpen up flavours.

20/02/24

Red bush tea with brown sugar, cacao and coconut milk

Nominee of no 1 choice of 2024

Recipe:
1 bag of red bush tea.

210ml hot water.

20ml coconut milk.

0.5g cacao.

6g brown sugar.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Sweetish with coconut flavours and red bush tea in aftertaste.

Smell: Cacao and coconut.

Colour: Light brown, non-transparent.

Additional notes: It took me several times to make this brew to its perfection as I wanted to feel every flavour.

I started with 5 g of cacao and 10mg of coconut milk. The brew seemed terrible tasting purely like cacao drink being dark brown. I increased coconut milk to 20ml and gradually reduced cacao dosage ending up with 0.5g which seemed an amazing recipe.

09/03/24

Red bush tea with cola

Recipe:

1 bag of red bush tea.

210ml hot water.

20ml cola.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gentle cola with tender red bush tea and cola aftertaste. It leaves long-lasting dryness in the mouth.

Smell:  Tender cola.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes:  If you want to get a more vivid cola flavour then add 30ml of cola.  In this case, the brew will taste a little bit sparkled. This interesting feature will be if you will add a freshly opened bottle of cola.

Also, you will get absolutely amazing aroma that I could not stop enjoying.

Only you need to be aware that you will lose the red bush taste.

12/03/24

Red bush tea with cranberry juice

Recipe:

1 bag of red bush tea.

213ml hot water.

17ml cranberry juice.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Balanced red bush and cranberry juice flavour.

Smell: Red bush tea.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: It took me three times to get the right taste making sure that cranberry juice does not overlap with red bush flavour and all the way round. When I added 20 ml of cranberry juice, the brew was lovely, but I did not like that I could not taste red bush tea,. When I added 15 ml of cranberry juice then red bush tea heavily overlapped the cranberry juice's flavour.

I ended up with a very untraditional proportion - 17/213 which made this tea an absolutely amazing brew.

23/03/24

Red bush tea with freshly squeezed limeade (still)

Recipe:
1 bag of red bush tea.

205ml hot water.

25ml freshly squeezed limeade.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Gently sweet and sour.

Smell: Redbush.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: It was a beautiful brew. The flavours did not lap each other making me amazed by the outcome. I did not expect that I would add it to my classic brew collection.
