Drinking too much green tea can lead to insomnia at night. Also, be careful when choosing the strength of green tea to avoid insomnia.

Here given portions of ingredients to green tea recipes are only guidelines.

You do not have to use exactly the same green tea brands. Pick your favourite one and make your brew.

Also making these recipes with green tea, it would be great if you would find out the right strength of your green tea as it has been used as a base and do not change your green tea brand as it might make it more complicated to tune in the right strength of the flavour over again

To tune in your preferred strength of the green tea I would recommend you to drink it on its own before you add other ingredients.

Green tea with balsamic vinegar

Recipe bags of Knightsbridge green tea

225ml hot water

5ml balsamic vinegar

0.5 teaspoon of sugar

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Sour and sweet with bitterness leaving dry mouth in aftertaste.

Smell: Strong vinegar.

Colour: Dark amber.

Additional notes: I would not increase the quantity of balsamic vinegar as it can make the tea taste more like vinegar, very unpleasant.

In this case, the flaour is nicely balanced and I would not change anything. However, I did not enjoy this brew.

Green tea with beetroot juice

Recipe:
2 bags of Knightsbridge green tea

200ml hot water.

30ml beetroot juice.

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: Tender beetroot juice and green tea flavours. The aftertaste makes the mouth go dry.

Smell: Strong beetroot and bitter aroma.

Colour: Dark red, burgundy.

Additional notes: I would not add more green tea bags as the taste will turn unpleasant from the bitter flavour that massively overlaps the beetroot taste. In my opinion the ingredients have been perfectly matched together.

However if you want to get a better beetroot taste, add more beetroot juice.

Green tea with orange juice & bits

Recipe:

3 bags of Knightsbridge green tea

200ml hot water

30ml orange juice

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.

Taste: It has an obvious green tea flavour with tender orange juice. I would like to say, it tastes specific with a seeming short dryness in the mouth. The taste seems nicely balanced. Though, I did not enjoy it.

Smell: It has a strong citrus aroma.

Colour: Cloudy yellowish green.

Additional info: I have used 3 bags of Knightsbridge green tea to get my desired strongness of green tea.

Regarding this recipe, I would not add or reduce the quantity of ingredients as I saw that the flavour is nicely balanced.
