Location: Riga, Latvia, Europe

This building was built in 1905 and designed by German architect  Wilhelm Neumann.  During reconstruction work that took place between 2010 and 2015, the total size of the building was doubled. 

Here it is possible to find the greatest collection of craft in Latvia. There have been gathered around fifty-two thousand professional artworks from the Baltic states. 

You will find art starting from the 18th century till today and that might include the weirdest art you might be seen ever in your life.

 The museum is very spacious on four floors.  When you land on the top floor it is possible to walk out on the roof and enjoy a beautiful sight of Riga.

 Verdict: 

Price 5/5: It will cost you €6 per person. It is so much worth paying. You will be amazed by the quality of the art. 


Comfort 5/5: It has a lift so you can easily move around from one floor to another floor if you have difficulties moving or you are having a child in a pram.


Staff kindness 5/5: At the reception a member of staff will briefly introduce what is possible to see here.


Location 4/5: Jana Rosentala laukums. It will take around a 15-minute walk from Old Riga.


Specification: For your welfare and comfort you can leave your coats in changing area. In fact, in most museums in Latvia, you will be recommended to leave your belongings like backpacks, coats and jackets etc in changing rooms.
